Why Isagenix makes this one
What it was built to do
Beauty from within for skin specifically, as a small ritualised daily dose.
What actually makes it different
5g Type I marine collagen from wild-caught cod, haddock and pollock, plus biotin, vitamin C and zinc.
Who it suits
Ages 16+ without a fish allergy, one serving daily.
The dividing line
BEA Glow: dose, caffeine and format. A 5g caffeine-free shot versus a 10g caffeinated can.
What the trial actually measured
Four weeks, placebo-controlled, 60 adults. Reported outcomes included increased facial collagen density in participants, measurable fine-line reduction in a majority, and reductions in hyperpigmentation and UV spots. Instrument-measured skin endpoints over a short window, industry-connected. Stronger than a testimonial, weaker than a long independent trial — and the honest description sits between the two.

What the label says
5g marine collagen with zinc, biotin and vitamin C, in a 50ml glass bottle.
How to read that
This one has a real product-specific trial behind it — see the evidence section below.
Is that a lot? What the rest of the shelf looks like
Powdered bovine collagen is commonly sold at about 20 g per serving, roughly 70 calories, and that figure is the one most category comparisons lead with. A ready-to-drink marine collagen at 5 to 10 g is a different product, not a weaker version of the same one: source, format, added botanicals and whether a trial exists on the finished drink all move independently of the gram count. More grams is not automatically better. What the gram count measures is dose, and nothing else.
Category figures checked August 2026 across mainstream products in the same format, from the manufacturers’ own published labels and pricing. We do not name other brands on this site — a brand name does not tell you whether a dose is high or low, and a range does.
The research on this product, and who paid for it
Collagen Elixir — 30ct is one of the few items in the line with a published trial naming it specifically. Here is what exists, in full, including the parts that do not flatter it.
Anti-aging effects of hydrolyzed collagen beverage with herbal extracts on facial skin: a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial
| Published in | Journal of Food Science & Nutrition, 2022 |
| Reference | DOI 10.24966/FSN-1076/100128 |
| Design | Double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled; 30 participants in the reported tables |
| What was tested | A hydrolysed fish collagen beverage with botanical extracts |
| Who funded it | One author was the Isagenix Director of Research and Science; the paper states he had no role in design, interpretation or analysis |
The tested beverage is associated with this product but we have not confirmed the current formula matches the one trialled. Until that is checked, treat the result as evidence about a similar drink rather than about the bottle you would receive.
A company-funded study is not worthless and it is not proof. It is one result, produced by people with an interest in the outcome, and it is worth exactly as much as its design allows. That is why the funding sits next to the finding here rather than in a footnote.
What the evidence actually shows
Industry-connected product trial — facial skin
A double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial in 60 healthy adults, one 50ml serving daily for four weeks, registered as NCT04878536. Reported improvements in collagen density, elasticity, moisture and some appearance measures against placebo. Some outcomes were stronger than others. An author was affiliated with Isagenix as Director of Research and Science, with a conflict statement saying he had no role in design, interpretation or analysis; the trial registry lists an industry sponsor. This is a stronger design than a testimonial or an internal survey, but it is short, small, industry-connected and measured on instrument-based skin endpoints.
