The label, on file with the federal government

The US National Institutes of Health keeps a public database of dietary supplement labels. Ionix Supreme, Natural Fruit Flavor is in it. This is what the panel said when it was recorded on 24 June 2016 — serving size 7.5 g (1 packet), 30 servings to the container.

Brainstrong proprietary blend: 715 mg. Declared as a single figure covering 22 ingredients — Wolfberry fruit extract, Hibiscus flower extract, Watermelon juice extract, Kiwi juice powder, Rhodiola root extract, Mucuna pruriens root extract, Ashwagandha root extract, Blueberry fruit extract, Bacopa whole plant extract, Harada fruit extract, Eleuthero root extract, Amla fruit extract, Rhododendron leaf extract, Alpha lipoic acid, Tribulus fruit extract, Shilajit extract, Betaine hydrochloride, MSM, Schisandra fruit extract, Bamboo stem and leaf extract, Maca root extract, Ginger root extract. A proprietary blend is legal and common, but it means the label does not tell you how much of any one of them you are getting.

Other ingredients. Molasses powder, apple juice powder, natural flavors, silicon dioxide, sodium chloride, malic acid, stevia leaf extract.

Nine of the twenty-two blend components are adaptogens — rhodiola, ashwagandha, bacopa, eleuthero, amla, maca, shilajit, mucuna and schisandra. That is what the ‘Brainstrong’ name is pointing at, and it is the clearest statement of intent anywhere on this product.
